It has you say thirty sample sentences then sends your voice to be “trained”, this can take minutes to a couple of hours. After your voice is trained you can generate sentances with words you never said to the computer. This is dangerous because if you link this up with a celebrity’s voice and face using Deep Fake technology, you could make them say whatever you wanted. The danger of this is that this technology mixed with a DeepFake could lead to catostrophical political turmoil.

You can find many of these on youtube and there are videos of everyone from politicians to celebrities. The danger of these is that some of them look so real that it is quite hard to tell that it is fake which could lead to other issues. They could also lead to political turmoil, imagine this, it’s 2020 and tensions with North Korea are higher than they have ever been. Then a video comes out of president Trump saying that he has launched nuclear weapons at North Korea. In the time that it takes to figure out that the video was fake and that no missiles were launched North Korea could have already sent real nukes back to the United States.
