Years ago, during the KYOTO World Summit , in defense of the environment, I declined your invitation to attend, with one student ,and gave it to a French teacher. This was the first time I worked with Japanese classes, thanks to you Yoko. My students nevertheless took part in the workshops to prepare the World Summit.
You have always been very enthusiastic and supportive on IEARN. My students took part in the Machinto Project, years ago.
We finally met in person at the Morocco Conference (2009?).
We attended the latest Conference on the Tokyo Olympic Games , TOPA Project (2021). In fact we have known each other for nearly twenty years and I have always been admirative of your constant open mindedness and permanent peaceful smile.

Dear Yoko,
We are going to miss you a lot!!! We will always remember your smile and dedication. We remember the Annual conference in Japan in 2003 - and the serious difficulties you faced in that period. We still remember how you heroically dealt with all of that. We iEARNers were offering help. Yet, you and the JEARN team stoically took all of the burden and did fantastic conference.
You are our symbol of endurance, perseverance and positive mindset. At the same time, you are and will always be the iEARN Japan most prominent.
It was honour and privilege to work and cooperate with.
We are so happy for being our Friend.
