It is located in the Hradčany district of Prague and is dated back to the ninth century. It was opened in 870 AD and has a renaissance and Gothic arthitecture to it. The first walled building was the Church of Virgin Mary. The other churches were dedicated to St. George and St. Vitus, and were founded in the first half of the 10th century. The Prague defenestration in 1618 started a long period of wars, during which Prague Castle was damaged and robbed.

Conwy Castle is a medieval fortification in Conwy, on the north coast of Wales. It was built by Edward I, during his conquest of Wales, between 1283 and 1289. It is a gritty, dark stoned fortress. During the English Civil War, the castle was intentionally damaged by order of Parliament so that it could play no military war. The castle was ruined by the eighteenth century and now is strictly a tourist attraction.
