I read Alex Rider Book 9. It was eventful. However, I knew how the book was going to end, taking out the suspense, as well as the main character's best friend sadly passes away. The protagonist does save the American Sectary Of State so in technicality he "won" yet, with the loss of a dear friend and his close friend Mr. Smithers revealing his true identity. The effects on his life after wards are more profound. "now he walked with a pace, an alertness" proves this. Even though the politician is saved the protagonist senses are more acute. He trust very few. The book is about the author's life throughout middle school and high school and later on in the story the author tells how she survived a major earthquake and in middle school she even had boy confusion, low self esteem, and friends who weren't really good friends, but finally during high school she finally dumps her group of crappy friends and finally learns what true friendship is and to not worry about what other people think of her. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. The plot of the book was ever since the protagonist had been born her home country and another country had been at war. She actually discovers that her country and the other country's super computers had been talking and since they were tired of death and destruction they came to an agreement. This was that all citizens would be put to work building weapons and every one would have a job. This story is about a cat named Yellowkit who trains as a apprentice in Shadowclan and after she finally receives her warrior name, Yellowfang. However she realizes  that she wasn't meant to be a warrior and that her destiny was meant to be a healer.
