In England, Maxim guns were chambered for the .45-inch Martini-Henry cartridge, but, issued in 1891, they also shot the .303-inch smokeless-powder round in the Lee-Metford rifle.

-The Vietnam war started in November 1, 1955 and ended in April 30, 1975.They were used mostly in the infantry helicopters and on boats to provide extra firepower behind enemy lines when letting down extra troops.
-The "Maxim gun" used the recoil power of the previously fired bullet to reload rather than being hand-powered, enabling a much higher rate of fire than was possible using earlier designs such as the Nordenfelt and Gatling weapons.
-It has also improved by it not using and manual reload and it just takes left over gunpowder after each bullet for a quicker fire rate.
