         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>Do Princesses Wear Hiking Boots?</em><br>By: Carmela Coyle<br>Published: 2003<br>Age I First Read this Book: 4<br>The protagonist in this book is a little girl who is not named. She is a very curious girl. She asks her mother many questions about what a princess does.&nbsp;<br>When she asks her mother questions about princesses, she asks about things that she likes to do. She wants to know if she would be a good princess. At the end of the book, the girl asks what a princess looks like, on the next page there is a mirror. &nbsp;<br>"Mommy do princesses seem at all like me?<br>"look inside yourself and you'll see.”<br>This book is important to me because it inspired me to be me as a kid. This book allowed me to do what I wanted, to not fall into the crowd. To be my own person.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>Love You Forever</em><br>By: Robert Munsch<br>Published: 1986<br>Age I First Read this Book: 4<br>In this book, the protagonist is the mother. She is a kind and caring woman that shows her love through acts of kindness.&nbsp;<br>The mother teaches her son lessons throughout his life. It might be tough love, but she loves him. She just shows it in different ways. At the end of the book, the son takes care of the mom and reciprocates his love for her.&nbsp;<br>“I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living, My baby you'll be.”<br>This book is important&nbsp; because it enabled me to see how life is full circle and that your bond with your parents is strong. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

The tree is the main character.&nbsp;<br>This book helps children learn the alphabet in a fun and interesting way.&nbsp;</div><div>I am glad I read this book because it was an interesting way to learn. This was one of the first books I read and I think it helped me to advance my reading skills. </div>]]></description>

As a reader, you can follow along and uncover the mystery with her.&nbsp;<br> “I don't promise to forget the mystery, but I know I'll have a marvelous time.” “I have solved some mysteries, I'll admit, and I enjoy it, but I'm sure there are many other girls who could do the same.”<br>These books were important to me because they made me think. The ongoing mystery was something that I enjoyed. These books helped me become a strong and independent woman.</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>The Giver</em><br>By: Lois Lowry&nbsp;<br>Published: 1993<br>Age I First Read this Book: 11<br>The protagonist is Jonas. Jonas is the boy assigned to receive the memories. He is more curious than the other kids his age.&nbsp;<br>In this book, the entire town has no true feelings. There is no color. There is no individuality. Jonah is assigned to the giver and learns about these feelings and such that have been taken away. When he escapes, he frees these memories to everyone in the town.&nbsp;<br>“If you were to be lost in the river, Jonas, your memories would not be lost with you. Memories are forever.”<br>This book is important to me&nbsp;because it reminds me to express my feelings, even when I want to hold them in. This book reminds me that memories are what inspires us and to enjoy the little things in life.</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
