I can be based off of your gender, race, religion, what your family wants you to be. The most important thing to me in this unit is I recently have been asking myself the question who am I? Lately I feel like I have lost who I am and need to realize what I have become and am I happy with it. This unit has been helping me revaluate who I am and then being able to compare it to the stories we have been reading and it is interesting how similar some are and how different some are. The challenging thing about this unit has been trying to realize what other people go through that you dont and to put yourself in their shoes. My family moved into the essex area in 2008 and it was a primary white neighborhood as the years go on the it is starting to shift to change to primary colored people. As for schooling I payed tuition and went to a private school so where i live didn't affect me because it wasn't near my school. But a society that protects some people through a safety net of schools, government-backed home loans, and ancestral wealth but can protect you only with the club of criminal justice has either failed at enforcing its good intentions or succeeded at something much darker.” This quote is talking about how the government isn't fair and how people can use things such as wealth to get out of doing things they aren't supposed to making our justice system just as bad as the people. this quote from quotes and the film the 13th are the same because people that are not wealthy are in jail and two people that committed the same crime one can be in jail for a very long time and the other can just walk because they have money. both of these quotes are saying the same if you have money you get out on bail which is more frequently white people because they are wealthy and more black people are in jail because they are poor and cannot afford bail.

I feel as though as a writer I still need to work on shorting of quotes and smoothing out a paper to make it have a better flow. The class has made me strong in ways of reading and analyzing a source and also ways to find a source and how to cite them. Thinking has probably been the hardest thing for me in the class just because I don't have a lot of faith in myself and I always feel like I need clarification on everything to make sure I am doing things right. Instead of having faith in what I believe is correct in my own way. I have learned so many things in this class such as time management, staying organized, and correct MLA format. As a student I have grown a lot in my writing from this class and to know how to make a paper flow.Overall in this class I feel like I have did a great job stayed on task and have did my best to do what was asked of me.
