Remote Controlled Traffic Spike

History: 
A traffic spike, is a tire deflation device used to stop the movement of vehicles by puncturing their tires. Nowadays, this device is commonly used to stop crime related vehicles. 

Issue: 
However, the current traffic spikes have the threat to cause injuries to the installer and can punctured police car and other car tires. 

Suggestion: 
To reduce the above mentioned risk and threat by installing a built-in traffic spike system on the road and built with an AI model in the database to remotely control and automate the position and activation of the traffic spike whenever needed. This minimizes the human intervention and hence, the risk of unwanted injuries by using sophisticated remote controller with ONLY targeting the wanted vehicles.

Working Mechanism:
Once the identification of the location of the thief or criminal is identified, the police can access the traffic spike database system via the remote controller.

Based on surveillance camera detections,  public alerts and reports by police officers. The AI model in the system calculates the probability of routes the criminal take and activates the spike system to limit the movement of the criminal until it shuts down the motion of the criminal.

Hereby, increases the possibility of catching criminals with little to no unwanted accidents.

Functionality:

- Bracelet is made up of beads. Three of the beads are colored in red, yellow, and green to differentiate from other normal beads (black).
- The bracelet itself has a wired network that allows the bracelet to connect to GPS and has real-time monitoring/tracking. The information and location of the user will be stored and synced in the application. 
- Red bead has a button where it alerts family/friends when it is pressed and activated via Bluetooth system. 
- Green bead has a button that will emit a very loud sound that can notify and attract attention from surrounding people. The loud sound can also distract and confuse attackers. The sound is over 100 dB and can be heard from 20 meters away.
- Yellow bead has a button that serves as a function of a torchlight for use in the dark in case of phone battery dies, and to help during escaping.

Function: Prevent item/briefcase lost by embedding various security systems.

Problem Statement: Briefcase theft is a common problem especially in locations such as shopping malls and airports. This may be contributed to the use of briefcase to store precious and expensive items such as laptops, cash, passports and etc. 

Solution: It is important for briefcase owners to take immediate action once realizing their briefcase is missing. Therefore, we proposed a simple solution by providing list of actions the owner can do.

First, the owner can activate the embedded taser system that is installed on the lock area and the handle. If there are attempt to pick open the locking mechanism, a jolt of 26W electricity will be released.

Second, the Lighting warning technology will give out a bright flash when activated remotely. This will draw attention from other passerby and authorities.

Third, the Thunder sound system will activate a very loud sound when activated.

Anti-theft systems in place nowadays are not enough to deter someone from committing grand theft auto. 

Proposed Design Solution: 

An auto-clamp that makes use of handbrake and other braking mechanisms to stop the car from moving when the car is forcefully accessed. 

How it works: 

There would be sensors that are attached to points that can get data if the car is broken into. These locations would be at the windows and the connection between the door and car frame, to detect abnormal force and the presence of foreign objects (lockpicks). 

These sensors would the send important data to the system processor, where it interprets the data and decides what to do. When it is confirmed that the car has been accessed by criminals, the processor would send a signal to the braking mechanisms to the car.

These brake clamps would then clamp the wheels of the car, rendering the car unable to move. Not only that, if this persists for more than 10 seconds, the car would then send an emergency signal to the nearest law enforcement agency to notify them that there is a car burglary happening in the vicinity. 

If the car locking mechanism was busted, and the legitimate owner had to resort to force to access the car, the clamping system would still commence. However, this system can be bypassed by a password or phrase word that is only known by the owner.
