With WWI, this was even more important considering the scale of the war. It is often forgotten that propaganda in WWI was used to influence neutral countries and strengthen the opinion of allies. The First World War was one of the first cases of mass propaganda output being used to justify and gain public support of a war. This technique was revolutionary and is still being used today. They were specifically made to leave an effect of awe and rally support for the war. As we have discussed the glorification of war was used to have people enlist. This idea was categorically false, and many found out the hard way.
