Hi all,
Here is the blank padlet for you to ask any questions that you have on Friday. We will respond to this during the planned timetable teaching hours for this session. The PowerPoint is narrated, so please do listen to the embedded audion. The PowerPoint is in five sections, as the files sizes were too big in smaller sections to upload to ELE. They are numbered 1 to 5. I hope you enjoy the presentation and find that this is a useful group intervention that you may be able to offer in due course. Best wishes to all, and hope you have a great day. Rob.

Hi Rob as you can see I completed my day yesterday not realising, however, I thought all whole day was fab!! I downloaded the PPoints etc with no problems, the only thing I couldn't hear was the explanation of the amygdala, other than that it was great ! Could we use your Mind and Mood programme for our psych ed interventions?

Hi Lisa,
Really glad the day worked well. I think that it could be fairly easily adapted to be a psycho-educational intervention. It just means focussing more on the information giving elements and not getting feedback on any exercises. You might want to make additional handouts for each session content to support a more psychoeducational feel and offer more written or recorded material to support use of skills. However, all the adaptations you make in order to put a more psychoeduactive focus on this would make for a good write up.

As in Cornwall we are a primary school only service, would you recommend making adaptions for primary age as group session interventions, or would adapting it into a psycho ed session as Lisa suggested be more suitable for the age group?

Hi Lyndsey
The psychological themes would still be appropriate to primary school, but all the content was aimed at secondary school. Therefore you have a couple of options. One is to focus upon the anxiety elements and adapt all language and examples to those that would fit for a primary school age child. The second and possibly easier route would be to take something aimed more towards primary school age children and seek to adap that. For example Coping Cat.

Just an FYI that the sound on the third powerpoint was dipping every now and again. Not a major issues but thought i'd just let you know. I'm not sure if our service will let us do an intervention like this as, at the moment we have very small caseloads so everyone was being seeing 1 to 1, Though I guess that may change in the future once we are qualified and get larger cases. The issue might be around gathering RCADS as then they become clients (This is a similar issue we are facing with the peer mentoring groups).

Hi,
Once demand increases services will then often look to group interventions. Especially if waiting lists start to build. Hopefully some of you will have the chance to impliment the group. However, when the time comes you will have a set of materials that provide an evidence based transdiagnostic group. Think how vital to the service you will be then!!!

Hi Rob - Tanya here. I'm afraid I am getting no sound, I'm sure its an issue from my end and will keep trying. However, I have read through the slides. I like that this melds together the elements of CBT and that it is deliverable in larger numbers. I'd love to get this going in my schools...when we are able to get back to it!

Hi Tanya. Hope you can get the sound going. I'm no IT expert, but the bar at the bottom of my computer on the right hand corner will turn sound on and off. I can also turn sound on or up by pressing the function key and f8 t turn on or off, or turn up the volume after with function + f7. I expect different computers will set up differently though. Really hope you could get the group going in schools. If you get that far and want to talk any of it over then ping me an email. Best wishes, Rob
