Based on my opinion, the most difficult skill to acquire among the four is definitely speaking. The reason I believe is relevant is because a person tends to get nervous especially when dealing with new people. This in turns affects their communication skills and might not improve over time. Hence, consistent practice is necessary in order to improve your speaking skill. However, most of the time it is hard to practice when there is no one available to help you out.

Speaking. Because speaking need a lot of tone and expression. Every tone and expression represent what the speaker trying to present out . It will affect the audiences mood and feeling when listen to it. Beside, u need find a topic which are suitable to the audiences. Example u talk politics to a group of children. Do you feel that they will understand on it? So, choose a suitable topic for speaking also very important. You need to choose a fairy tale story for them and speak out with different kind of tone base on the story line so that the children will not fall asleep when listening the story. We can't deny that other skill are easy, it also got its difficulty too. So in my opinion, speaking is the hardest for me. Thank you. =)

In my opinion, writing is the most difficult skill to be acquired. The main reason is because of the necessity of learning a mapping skill in order to use written language. Written language must not only learn to recognize the meaning of words orally, but also go through a process of transcribing these sounds.The process of transcribing sounds requires the learning of other rules and structures thereby cognizing a previously unconscious process.The other reason is that written language takes on many different registers depending on the function of the written word. These functions are often only used in written speech and are therefore even more abstract to some individuals than the already difficult transcription of simple spoken language into an alphabet.

In my opinion, writing skill is the most difficult skill to be acquired because writing skill requires good grammar. We have to memorize a large number of rules which apply in any language. It is really hard to write something without making fault. If we are speaking, we can speak something in our mind even though we make some mistake. But in writing, if we make a mistake, the readers will misunderstand when they are reading. Besides that, we have more opportunity to listen, speak and read but we have less chance to write. In my opinion, the most difficult skill to be acquired would be speaking. In order to speak a good english, a very good grammar and huge knowledge of vocabulary will be required. If we do not have a very good grammar, when we talk English the others will just hear some broken English. If we do not have a good vocabulary, we will hard to explain somethings to others especially when want to present our own ideal in society. In my opinion, I think writing skill is the most difficult skills to be acquired. This is because we need to have a good grammar base and strong vocabulary in writing a good essay. If we are weak in both grammar and vocabularies, then the essay that written out must be dull or not interesting and also can't interest others to read. Besides, when we are given a title to write an essay, we will suddenly blank in mind and can't write out any points if we do not understand what the needs for the titles.Meanwhile, we will usually do the grammar mistakes carelessly and this can cause us to lose many marks. For me, the most difficult skill would be speaking. For one thing, not everyone is gifted with a flair for words. You may know what it is you want said, but the listener may be confused at what it is you are trying to get across. Not only that, there is also the fact that it takes years to perfect oral skills in a particular language, even if you are particularly gifted in linguistics. We have to master all of these in order to speak well else people may not be able to understand what message we are going to deliver. Besides that, English language is not the primary language in our country but it is considered a foreign language, so we may feel uncomfortable and shy to speak in english. Furthermore, eye contact is so important during speaking. People who don not use to speak in english may feel nervous and uncomfortable while eye contacting with each other and this eventually will affect the speaking skill.
