1.The Click Clacks took the boyfriend at the end. I was surprised that the Click Clacks were real and they weren’t just apart of the scary bedtime story. 2. The boy tries to play the innocent and precocious little boy in the story. He was trying to make the boyfriend think about other things while in the dark. The boy also distracted the boyfriend by making him talk about his girlfriend. 3. This story connects with the idea of balancing power because the boys power shifted from being the innocent boy from possibly being a Click Clack. 4. The boys motivation was to manipulate and trick the boyfriend into believing him. 5. A piece of foreshadowing from the story is this description in the story “I heard things rattle gently, like dry bones in thin bags, in the slight wind.” This piece from the story warns about the Click Clacks.

1. The boy and the girl came upon the attic to hear the noise of the rattle bags blowing in the wind. Our reactions to the ending was scary because the made up story of the rattle bags actually came true, and maybe the click clacks were a real thing.

2. The role that the little boy plays is a dad kind of to the girl because he is telling her a story to go to bed, but also giving a scary story like she asked him to.

3. This story connects to the idea of balance of power because giving different people different amounts of power can change the entire story of the click clacks.

4. The boys motivation was putting the girl to bed and taking care of her as if she was his own child. The boy was unrelenting when it came to telling the story when the little girl didn’t believe anything that the boy was saying.

5. “I flicked the light-switch, but nothing happened.” The boy attempted to turn the lights on to the stairs but the bulb was gone. This event is foreshadowing that something bad is going to happen because this is only the first event in the series. Another foreshadowing moment is “I don’t think so. I don’t think any people know where they come from. Mostly they come from the dark.” Because after the lights would not turn on, and then information was revealed that the click clack monsters come when it is dark, just proves even more that something bad is going to happen.

1The guy and the little boy were walking up to the little boys room and the older guy heard something that sounded like bones rattling which we can infer from that little detail that the boy was the monster. Because the Boy and the narrator were talking about the monster on the way up. The reactions to this

2 The role that the little boy is trying to play is the innocent child. An example of when this is evident is when he acts scared to go up to his room and Try’s to get the narrator to come up with him. The desired outcome of the boy manipulating the narrator is that the little boy who we can infer is the monster to kill the narrator and drink him.

3 This story connects to the balance of power unit because the narrator has the power at the beginning because he is older and can influence the little boy. But as they go up the stairs and through the house the little boy gains some of the power by manipulating the narrator into doing what he says.

4 The boys motivation for manipulating him is that he wants to eat the narrator because he is the monster. But he also wanted the narrator to trust him so that the narrator would follow him to his doom.

5 “I don’t think so. I don’t think any people know where they come from. Mostly they come from the dark.” This is foreshadowing because they are in a dark part of the house and it just continues to get darker and more old the farther they continue and when he hears the bones it is a dark place and the guy gets attacked.

At the end of click clack the rattle bag the older boy gets pulled into the room with the rattle bag. Our reactions to the ending were that he was already going to meet a rattle bag.
the role that the little boy is trying to play is the monster. One specific example of him manipulating the narrator is when the narrator asks “So what do these Click-clacks look like” this shows how he manipulated the narrator because the older boy started getting curious about these rattle bags.
the story connects with the idea of “Balance of Power” because in this situation the boy holds the power as he is able to manipulate the narrator into reading him a story and following him to his room.
The boys motivation for this is to maybe trick the older boy into leaving his sister and make him scared so that he doesn’t come back here.
One piece of foreshadowing is “They look like what you aren’t expecting. What you aren’t paying attention to.”
this shows forshadowing because nobody would suspect the little innocent boy to be a monster but in the end it shows how the little boy is pulling the older boy into his room where he is going to eat him.

At the end of the story, the little boy led the narrator to the attic, and drank the narrator. Ray and Oscar excepted it, Kyle and Rubi wasn’t expecting it.

The little boy played like a little boy, who likes to make up monster stories during the night, and who was unrelenting towards the narrator and kept asking him to bring him up to his bedroom and tell stories, when he was actually a monster.

It connects back to balance of power, that the little boy had more power than the narrator because the little boy was precocious by being innocent towards the narrator, and leading him to the attic.

The boy’s motivation was to just bring the narrator to the attic, to feed himself.

“Click-clacks drink you,” said the boy. When the boy started talking in detail about the rattlebag & click clacks monster.
