In Pyramus and Thisbe the miscommunication leads to their death, and in Romeo and Juliet miscommunication also leads to their death. In Pyramus and Thisbe they met there, but a Lioness separated them. As shown in this quote, "Before him lay the bloodstained shreds of the cloak and clear in the dust were the tracks of the lioness."  If Thisbe would've come back right after they would've lived on happily ever after, but they weren't able to communicate because of the lioness. In Romeo and Juliet the lack of communication was Friar John's fault, as shown in this quote, " because he never go to communicate to Romeo the plan for Juliet.

Romeo was a Montague and Juliet was a Capulet. The Montages and Capulets were enemies who had feuds very often. The families of Romeo and Juliet were the reason why Romeo and Juliet had to communicate secretly. Romeo and Juliet's communicators were the Nurse and Friar Lawrence. In Pyramus and Thisbe, they communicated through a hole in the wall. In Pyramus and Thisbe it is not stated that their parents are enemies but it is present that they don't like each other.

Romeo and Juliet were of feuding and rivaling families: "From ancient grudge break to new mutiny, where civil blood makes civil hands unclean." Pyramus and Thisbe's marriage was forbidden by their parents. A direct line in the story says: "They longed to marry, but their parents forbade."
