Using

Water is needed for the transport of nutrients and oxygen to all cells of the body. It helps turn food into energy and absorb nutrients. Water maintains the stability of body temperature and protects vital organs, participates in maintaining the shape of cells and organs and is important for the health of the skin. We need water every day - we use it for drinking, cooking, washing, cooling, heating, and at almost every stage of product production. Although over 70% of the Earth's surface is covered by water, only about 3% of this water is fresh. Only a third of fresh water is accessible to humans, the rest is stored in glaciers.

Saving water

I make sure to check all the sanitary ware. I always tightly close the tap. I am buying an economical sanitary ware-toilet with two flush modes. I prefer to take a shower rather than a bath. I take a shower a minute or two faster. I close the tap when I brush my teeth.

1)Ways to save water in the bathroom

Turn on the water halfway instead of full pressure. Close the sink drain with a stopper to use less water when washing dishes. Don't leave the water on while brushing your teeth - it's a waste of water! Take a quick shower instead of a bath.

2)You can reduce water consumption by trying to follow 10 simple rules for saving water.

Be sure to check all plumbing for proper functioning. If necessary, repair or replace the damage. Remember, a leaking toilet means almost 72,000 liters of wasted water per year. A leaky faucet is up to 200 liters per day or about 6,000 liters per month.

Always close the tap tightly. A dripping tap leaks 24 liters of water per day.

Buy an economical toilet with two flush modes. This allows you to save about 15 liters of water per day for a family of three.

Give preference to showering rather than taking a bath. Taking a shower for 5 minutes consumes a maximum of 100 liters of water. And to fill a bathtub, you need twice as much water. Try to use water-saving showerheads.

Try taking a shower one to two minutes faster. Over the course of a month, you can save up to 500 liters of water. For example, put on a song for 2-3 minutes and know that you have to finish your water procedures by the end of it.

Turn off the tap when you brush your teeth. Take a glass of water to rinse your mouth. This will save up to 45 liters of water, which is the amount that will go down the drain through an open tap in 3 minutes.

Install faucets and aerator diffusers in the bathroom and kitchen: the jet will wash off the soap just as well, and less water will be consumed.

The dishwasher and washing machine should be loaded to the maximum. In addition, use the mode without additional rinsing for washing. This will help save not only water but also electricity.

When washing dishes by hand, turn off the tap. Turn on the water only after soaping up all the dishes, or wash all the dishes with a small amount of water pressure.

Use a bowl to wash fruits and vegetables. This method allows you to effectively clean the fruit from sand and dirt. Keep in mind that filling one large pot or bowl requires only 3 liters of water, while running water for fruit takes about 15 liters every minute.

Remember, by saving water you save natural resources and your own money.

Creator:Ломiлова Дар'я 7-А
