Having a large audience that will correct you helps you be more cautious of what you write.
2. Social media reminds us that writing short and well isn't easy
3. Language is evolving, social media is more oral because it so conversational opposed to being more like print.
4. New words or phrases change the traditonal sense of the original word, i.e "friending" is closer to being acquaintance than friend
5. If a word is persuasive enough and is provactive enough you can make it real and make it mean what you want.
6. Writing well can differentiate you from other sloppy writers online.
7. Social media is beneficial because the limited amount of characters you can type or seconds of videos you can post enables your audience to fully focus since it is such a short amount of time.
8. Our language is constantly changing, like when we moved from oral to print and now we are in the post print era.
9. With small device screens you should use linear organization so readers do not have to pan in and out to see all the content.
10. A keystone to success is if you can work a word into the english language based on your brand like googled it, or tweeted.

Summary and Additional Points/Alignment with Chapter(s):

Link for further review:
www.marketingprofs.com/articles/2012/8889/how-social-media-is-changing-the-english-language-and-why-it-matters-to-marketers
