I agree because being cowardice is having the lack of bravery. Which many people had in the Crucible except John Proctor he went against the court. While others (the girls) were making up lies that innocent people are witches because they were scared to go against the court.

yes, because many people in order to survive told lies and blamed many people to face lesser punishments, and drove the town crazy, and when Mary Warren told the truth, and tried to own up to it, she at first tried to set things right, but in the end gave up and followed the girls again, for fear of them and the court turning on her.

I agree because we can see the way that cowardice affects all of the people in the village of Salem. Be it the other afflicted girls who are too afraid to stand up to Abigail Williams, or Mary Warren, who could have ended the entire thing if she had just kept telling the truth, rather than switching sides once she started getting accused.

I agree with the quote because all of the afflicted girls were lying about people being witches and practicing witchcraft instead of being brave and going against the court. This led to the whole town walking on eggshells and not being able to trust everyone, making Salem chaotic.

Yes, I agree that cowardice had led this village of Salem into ruin. All it took was for the girls to own up to their faults. Sure, they would have been punished, but if you think that they admitted to dancing in the forest and casting "spells" to make their crushes fall in love with them. Their punishment would have been way better off than constantly lying to the court just to avoid telling a secret, which means nothing compared to the other accusations that have killed many.
