we worked so many years in so many different topics together that space here will not be sufficient to name all of them. So I name only a few big ones like P1E, T4G, BPE, Global Coffee Separation, ....
All of them had different challenges but at the same time several things in common.
Your incredible skill to slice the biggest challenge into manageable pieces and make the challenge look easy is mind blowing.
Your functional skills were always a key enabler to success as well your tremendous network of experts.
At the same time it was a pleasure to work with you as a person. I did love to interact with and I could 100% trust.

Summarise in some sentences many many years of collaboration is quite the 13th work of Hercules. So, I will not try as outcomes would be too long to write and consequently to read too 😁.

I will limit to some of your strengths and qualities that I personally appreciated 👍 : hard worker, leading by example, defending in what you believe, ability to listen and integrate meaningful ideas in the final solution, keeping the end in mind, trustee person but on top … HUMAN VALUES a highly valuable quality that is less and less present in our competitive and egocentric world.

What a journey it’s been! I was thinking back and the first time we met was Cheltenham in 2006 during the days of ITOPS / ITSC-E, and the path towards what became regional IT. Matthias leaving Mdlz?! took me a bit to understand it sounded so odd as you were there since day 1 and shaped Zurich office in many ways.
But realize time has passed, so time to send very best wishes to you and your family for whatever comes next. "Rentner" as some suggest is very hard to imagine... :-) but whatever you'll go for, enjoy what you do to stay healthy and happy!

Dear Matthias,
You will leave a big hole in the Mondelez family and the Zurich office. Thank you for your amazing leadership, support and advice that you were always willing to share! I will miss our coffee chats and you as a person - it was a privilege and great joy to work with you.
For your next chapter I am wishing you all the very best, many new places to discover and all the happiness in the world!
