In the "tutorials" row of the MakeCode Editor page, get students to click the "name tag" button. A menu should drop down with an optional video tutorial, a "blocks tutorial" (click this for interactive step-by-step tutorial), Python and Javascript tutorials.]

On "step 2" of the above link to the guide (NOT the MakeCode Editor page), it has a "open in classroom" function in which students can sign in to a particular lesson of your choosing. It also allows the teacher to view student progress, lets you know when they have finished (if the student has selected the "I'm finished" button) and download a class report that shows the teacher snapshots of all the student's current coding progress on the task. Students also select an emoticon to signify how they felt about the task.

Like an upgraded version of the micro:bit, but it's a game console hardware so it's limited to game functions. That said, the MakeCode Arcade site used to code this hardware can be used to make games without the micro:bit. The games are still functional on the MakeCode interface without the need to use the meowbit hardware. I am including it as a another way for students to interact with code with a physical game console.
