The U.S. was scared that they would have to have an alliance with the British if France tried to attack the U.S. , in its defence the U.S. sent two representatives James Monroe and Robert Livingston to purchase the Louisiana territory.          <description><![CDATA[<div>There were many subjects in which the women fought for reform some in particular were, abolition, temperance, education, and health. To fight for abolition they signed petitions, collected money, also encouraged certain literature. They came up with the temperance movement. This movement brought the problem of drinking to the people's attention, inspiring lectures and the founding of certain societies. All these actions started the decline of consumption of alcohol. Allowing education for women was started by a woman herself, who opened a school for woman. Having a domino effect leading to colleges opening their doors to woman. After they got they education they started to work towards health reforms.
