My prayer routine usually is before I go to bed or while I’m in the shower. Throughout the day I will pray for someone or talk to him myself. Daily life struggles are upon all of his and the way I find peace is to stop what I’m doing and talk to him. I believe my prayers are both conversational and request because my prayers aren’t always for me but for others. I trust that what he tells and shows me is his plan for me. Trusting it may not always be easy and I might not always understand. I know he is in control of my life and that is truly amazing. Some days I may thank him more than others. However, I am always grateful that he is with me and has never left me. A specific prayer that I can look back on that he answered was healing in my heart and the ability to learn from the hurt that I’ve been through.

2. I pray every morning before & after I spend time in the word, & I write these down in a journal to look back on later. As I go throughout the day, I pray as I feel it’s needed.

3. I try to make them more request-based for others & more conversational for myself. I have found that when I’m in a state of struggle, I tend to ask God for more & sometimes forget to thank Him for what He’s already given me.

4. I have asked God what He wants from me, & almost all of the responses I’ve gotten were scary because the specific actions that He asked of me would make me very uncomfortable. I would listen for an answer, but I would almost act as if I didn’t hear it when I did.

5. I often forget to show gratitude while I am struggling & asking God for things, but I mostly thank Him for the hard times after the fact because He uses the experiences to help me grow.

6. I prayed that God would point me in the right direction as far as changing my career path, & He spoke to me VERY clearly through several people. Also, I am in charge of finances for Foundation Retreat for this year, & we were really depending on fundraising events this semester to pay for transportation to & from camp. I started praying that God would provide in other ways since we can’t be together anymore, & a few days ago, we discovered thousands of dollars in our payment processing account from a few years ago that had never been transferred over to our bank account. He not only provided enough to pay for busses, but we also have a safety net to fall back on if we need it!
