I thought that I wouldn’t be able to finish school and finally be on summer vacation. It got even harder ever since my older sister finished school. It made me want to get out of school even more than I wanted to before. I have been craving outside food for so long, but I am not allowed to just to be safe. However, now things are starting to open back up again and we are almost done with school, so I am not so anxious anymore. Tomorrow I am going to get the first haircut that I have gotten since January. This week the final tests and quizzes are being given out and it makes me feel like an enormous weight has been lifted off my shoulders. To make sure that no one went to the basketball courts, they had the rims taken off of the backboards. Just recently though, they have put them back on, but there are strict rules put in place to make sure that COVID-19 doesn’t spread within the community. They have put up signs that say which way to walk on the sidewalk. Only three people are allowed on one side of the courts and they are only allowed to practice shooting, and there are no games allowed on the courts. The pool is reopened too, but not many people are allowed to go at a time and they must be out of the pool before six o’clock. On the tennis courts there are only private lessons allowed and no one is allowed to rent it for personal use. Also group classes have been canceled on the tennis courts.

I thought that the virus was not going to come here because it was only in China, which seemed so far away at the time. I thought that there wasn’t a chance in the world that no more than fifty people would get infected in the United States. Even though I wanted to go online school instead of regular school, the price was way too high. Too many people died, and too many people are suffering. I hope that this virus does not last much longer. I want to be able to go out again and eat fast food. Now I think that adults are not taking this lockdown seriously enough. People are breaking stay at home orders and going onto closed beaches. This is the entire reason that the virus keeps spreading. If everyone in America stayed at home until the virus was no longer around. It would be easy to get rid of it. If the government had handled this earlier on and shut down everything.
