I think it would be very beneficial if the unit of "Celebrations" be moved to December instead of doing it after the holiday.

The Unit Guides are helpful in the PLC process when looking at the specific goals for students during the unit. Clear goals + clear timelines = awesome!

I love how easy it is to access them, they have been super helpful. It makes planning 10 times more easy. I cant think of ways to improve.

I like the week at a glance and the way it is formatted. I think that some improvements can be some exemplar lessons or resources to teach certain lessons. There are links to the book but if there were slideshows or handouts linked it would be awesome. Not directing people to only teach that, but to give options.

The course is sequenced flowing through the resources. some chapters feel a bit slow while others fast paced.

The curriculum's lessons for the end of the year, seems to contain some old terms and concepts that are not aligned with today's life. The vocab is not updated with today's world.

I like the pacing guide as a guide. It makes sure that we teach the required curriculum so everyone learns the same thing. I would like more time for projects rather than just teach and test. I would also like if there were some listening questions in the test. Our students need to practice listening and figuring out what the other person is saying. There are some great practice in the McGraw hill book.

The Year at a Glance is a wonderful guide in my opinion that assists us tremendously in our P.L.C. planning. Although my colleague and I have worked together for various years teaching Spanish at Jordan, we reference the guide to not only ensure what we have from previous years is in sync but to also implement the curriculum changes made last summer into this year's curriculum. We utilize it for both our Spanish 1 & Spanish 2 lesson plans and I hope we continue to have this resource moving forward.

thank you for the hard work in creating the YAGS, they have been very helpful while creating the lessons and activities. I would like to see at least one project maybe in the second semester. I would like to see more activities ideas and the materials from other sites (resources). The writing exams are great but I would like to see them in a prompt format if possible. Gracias

I believe the YAGS helps a lot, in order to plan our weeks. It's a user friendly, Great Idea !!!However, I would like to incorporate couples of day to work on culture theme. Some time I felt I don't have time.

YAG was our leading guide and first document opened during our PLC. It was very helpful in order to move in the same direction.

Some chapters on the YAG covered 4 to 5 weeks. In my opinion and experience 5 weeks on a chapter can be too long. Students lose interest and I believe most students can go from novice to mastery in a shorter time.

Spanish 1 was great, but we could use more time for projects. Spanish 2 needs more tweaking to make things flow. We created vocabulary lists for the Reading and Listening Exams for both levels. Some of the vocabulary for each level was advanced.

Other than that it was easy to follow and keep all teachers accountable.

I liked the unit guides it allowed me to stay on track. The common assessments are helpful but I had to keep in mind of backwards planning. I had to be aware that the curriculum alignment with assessment.

I appreciate the work that was put into making the new guides and creating the framework. I would like to see the flow of the chapters worked on when it comes to what is learned first and last, and I also would appreciate that we also work as a team to ensure that the technology resources we use in the district are introduced and worked on by our students.

The YAGS are an awesome visual and have been extremely helpful along with the Schoology group resources. I would recommend less time on the technology chapter for Spanish 2 and the Celebrations chapter in November and December. I feel that there is a lot of grammar concepts to be taught in a small amount of time. One suggestion could be maybe focusing on direct and indirect objects rather than double object pronouns as this is quite challenging for students.
