NIL keeps athletes returning to play in college instead of going professional.

This matters because it can keep college athletics at the highest level because the best players aren't leaving to go professional.

It also is beneficial for the athletes because it will help them stay in school and get a degree.

• narrowing down the amount of subjects studied each semester in order to improve educational outcomes

  • --> If students are struggling to balance studying seven or eight subjects each day, the educational outcome may not be as successful as the educators or the students strive for them to be. Narrowing down subject matter to three or four subjects per semester allows students to put more of their focus towards the tasks at hand, which are related to the subject matter of their study. It is naturally easier for students to put more effort and focus towards their schooling when there isn't as much to juggle academically.

The story of Michael brown was skewed in the media to further an agenda. What was told to the public was the story on an innocent black teen shot by a racist white cop. However, investigations into the story revealed that that was not the case.

1. As stated by the Columbian Encyclopedia drugs have extremely negative effects on family life; a reasonable extension of this idea would be to assume that these effects could create a very detrimental environment for child development. Therefore, this verifies the idea that infants shouldn't be sent home with mothers who have a drug abuse addiction.

As researches who studied the effects of technology distractions on children (Carson and Kuzik, 2019, p. 478), Carson and Kuzik offer a highly-educated perspective on the importance of this issue. It is affirmed by their statement that children under the age of six are within a critically-formative period of their lives. That argument provides more insight on why technology exposure is an issue of crucial importance for young children. At that age, children are at a vulnerable time in their development. Due to that vulnerability, it is crucial that the effects of technology exposure on children be thoroughly understood.

• With the drastic changes already going on in the child's life, it has to add a whole other level of confusion when the mother is sporadic in her discipline, responding strongly to a behavior one moment, and ignoring it the next. The child may become confused and frustrated by the mothers behavior, giving them a unstable view of justice and the world.

Without written certification by the Attorney General, no prosecution can happen. Going through the Attorney General weeds out cases that do not apply to Hate Crime Laws and helps to regulate what is taken into court.

Limiting the umbrella that hate crime laws cover reduces pleas on misdemeanor offenses. If no bodily injury takes place, it cannot be prosecuted as a hate crime.

These rewarding social feedbacks trigger dopamine releases, giving us a little “high”. Over time, we start craving these social media dopamine hits.

This helps explain why dopamine is tied to motivation. The promise of more likes and comments motivates us to keep posting content. The anticipation of funny videos motivates us to keep scrolling feeds. Dopamine makes us want more.

Give consequence: If society continues down its path of social media gratification, the addiction will only continue to grow along with it. These apps are wired to make us want to stay on them whether it's through the dopamine we get from receiving content or through posting content and receiving attention for it. Our reliance on these apps for these hormones could and has become detrimental to people's mental state. When people can find happiness so easily and accessibly on the screen, it makes it harder for people to find joy offline.

• The vast majority of the American people (86%) are not comfortable with the idea of cloning because they consider it as 'morally wrong.' It raises a question: is this trend valid? Is it there to indicate a bigger problem behind the issue of cloning?

• NIL is not supposed to influence athletes' college decision; however, that is the direction we are heading.

NIL has caused donors to switch from donating to the university athletic department to focusing their money on paying athletes by using their own businesses. NIL was never meant to be an incentive to go to a certain school; however this is what college athletics has come to.

I focused on the fact that free exercise means we are able to use our speech how we wish. It is a tool to further out opinion and share our thoughts with other people. Understanding what "free exercise" is matters because it show us that if the government is involved in silencing someone, it is not constitutional.

This evidence is describing the effects of having a paid maternity leave on mothers and children. If we don't give paid maternity leave, it will cause negative impacts on the lives of families. Not only physical health, but mental health is important to take into consideration. Giving paid maternity leave will cause families' overall health to greatly improve. This matters because the wellbeing of the present and future generation is not something we cannot overlook. This is why maternity leave should be paid when viewed from the family's perspective.

The sheer impact of the ball has left McNabb with significant long-term physical and mental effects, including impaired vision, partial paralysis on her right side, and anxiety and depression.

I want to focus on the tragedies that come from the poor working conditions, and then lead into how this is unethical and this is what the U.S. is supporting when we spend millions of dollars on these companies just for them to exploit their workers.

Fast fashion has shifted the clothing industry from the production of built-to-last clothing, to clothing that can only be worn two to three times before starting to deteriorate. In turn, this accelerates fashion sendings, rendering trends irrelevant withing weeks. This has created the vision that clothing is disposable, usable for it's season, and then garbage following. In consequance the amount of clothing waste has vastly increased, taking up 5% of landfill space.
