Spent too much of time on the video games will also decreases their academic performance like some of the children will not complete their homework given by the teacher, the reason they do not want to do is because they too lazy to do the homework rather than lie on the bed or couch to play the video games, and also they will feel that playing video game is more interesting than doing homework. Furthermore, the children will straight away ignore all their task is given and revision in order to play the video games. In this case, it can assume that the children were addicted to the video games seriously, they will think that video games are much more important to the homework for example like they have to fight a big boss in the games just to receive some rewards that are very powerful, so they will go back home and throw their bags aside and play their games.

Other than making the children an anti-social person and the academic performance of the children been affected, addiction to video games may bring an adverse effect on their health. Children addicted to video games mainly does not plan their time well such as they tend to skip meals to play their games, some even skip their sleep or play until late night, decreasing their sleeping time to increase the time to play video games.
