How Many Pennies

Reflecting on my problem-solving process with the penny question, I initially wrote down what I knew from the information given. I recognized that the number of pennies needed to be a multiple of 7. I tried to use the least common multiple (LCM) of the numbers provided, but I found myself stuck and unsure of how to proceed. To move forward, I decided to write out the multiples of 7, starting with small numbers. For 1-12, the numbers were not going to be large enough for that to work, so I tried 13 times 7 and found that it equaled 91. I then divided 91 by the other numbers to check if it met the criteria, and it did. Although I wasn’t able to work collaboratively with anyone, I felt that doing so might have been beneficial. I was uncertain about how to tackle the problem, and collaboration could have provided different perspectives or strategies. As I worked through the task, I began to realize that there could be more than one answer that fits the criteria, which added an interesting layer to the problem. I also recognized that I might need to revisit my algebra skills to strengthen my understanding for future problems. This experience taught me the importance of flexibility in my approach and the value of collaboration in problem-solving.
