Our vocalists performed different parts of the song and came together at parts, also Willo engaged with the audience.

Our drummer kept a consistent beat going keeping the rhythm of the song for us to follow.

As guitarists me and Ruarigh synced on rhythm and James performed the solos, improvising by playing with his teeth at one point.

The song ended with a big breakdown leaving it on a rock and roll bang.

Overall although we only did one song, I enjoyed what we put together and think we gave an alright performance and I certainly feel I learned a lot from the exper

The name of the piece will be 'Traces'

I developed it over the months leading up to the performance, building on a simple chord progression of Amaj7 > Cmaj7 > G6 / G9

It was my idea to create a shoegaze inspired piece of music, a sound drenched in reverb and delay. My goal was to create an atmosphere using the sound and the orbit between the chords.

What I think went well:

• I practiced my parts

• Maybe I wasn't shy, just tweaked

What I think could've gone better:

• I was probably not in my most focused state, had a really sore back and by the time it got around for me to perform I was a bit thrown off

• My timing was a bit off,

This formed the blueprint for the song to which I expanded and twisted in my modern shoegaze inspired influence.

I did try to record the piece at one point with an added bass and effects however this did not save.
