When I was young,I would always listen to classical music, but when my father introduced me to Coldplay,Taylor Swift and many more pop and rock bands,I listened to them on YouTube every other day.The good thing about music is that you can't judge them about their taste of music.I remember when I was in Primary 4, I would always comment and judgemy friends on their taste of music. This made them upset and would seldom talk to me about their favorite bands' new songsbecause they knew what I would say. When I learnt that their favorite songs were really nice, I stopped treating them like I used to. I came up to them and said that I actually liked their favorite songs.Things are not always what they seem. The main thing I want to say is that everyone has their own opinion,so don't go and judge them about their personal opinions otherwise you may find that your friends won't want to talk to you. To those that do judge their friends, stop, otherwise you may find that they won't want to be friends with you anymore.

People have different tastes in music because of personal experience. Though people might like certain music at one point in their lives, their music preferences change over time based on their lived experiences. People experience emotions through music. Personally I like classic music, but when I was a small girl I liked nursery songs. When I am stressed I usually listen to music, listening to music makes me relax. I don't listen to music when I study as it makes me unfocussed. I hope this article is useful.

Yes, I indeed do listen to music as I study or play because for when I play (usually when I am reading), it helps me get into a good mood especially with pop music and when I study, I listen to relaxing music.

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that studies have shown that when you study, listening to relaxing music (usually with no lyrics) helps you to concentrate better?

After I heard that that helps to concentrate better, I decided to give it a shot and indeed, I felt that I could really concentrate on my work better. My taste of music has also changed a lot over the years. There is no right and wrong of what music you choose to listen to, everyone has their own taste of music. You may not like the music your friend listens to which has happened to me, but you do not need to judge but instead you can share the songs you both love and learn to appreciate music. I hope through what I have shared you understand that everyone has their own taste in music and there should be no right and wrong music.
