Take a journey with silly, rhyming cats as they explore, and compare, American units of length and metric units. This book is an excellent introduction to measurement and the tools used to measure things from rulers to meter sticks. Although this title can be adapted for all grades, it best fits CCSS.Math.Content.2.MD.A.1.

Follow along as Penny's owner measures her and other dogs from using a measuring tape to dog biscuits. This book covers quite a bit of measurement standards that it would be best used in parts. I personally feel that the two main standards that fits well with this book are CCSS.Math.Content.2.MD.A.1 and CCSS.Math.Content.1.MD.A.1
