    Students are given a song called "The Food Chain Song". With this song the students are to do a presentation through a dance or skit using the song about food chains. They are given props and tools to use as well.
 This activity forces the students to be innovative and creative with what is given to them and with their knowledge on the science topic.

The students then will be given sounds from instruments that do not sound correctly., Students will be figuring out why they do not make the correct sound.
    The activity incorporates not only scientific thinking through the use of the scientific method but also the ideas of engineering and design through the use of instruments.

 This activity gives students the opportunity to be creative and to become engineers themselves.

Using the example of the water cycle, students will each be given a role. So a student will be a cloud, puddle, rain, etc. So each portion will be given to a student. The students will act out the water cycle on their own in a group. 
 This works on students collaboration skills, creativity, and knowledge of different cycles.

Using a hula hoop students will get as many as possible inside of it. For those not inside that will all get inside of another hula hoop, so on until all students are inside. Students will be told to move around, jump, wiggle, etc. Explain to them that the compaction of the students are like a compaction of molecules in a solid. Then you will continue to do that same things for gases and liquids.
 This allows the students to become part of science. They get to experience what it is like for molecules in different matter. They are making connections.

They will test their hypothesis and determine if they are right or wrong.
