  How is America? Do you like it there? A lot has happened since you moved. The government is trying to get people to 'buy in' to the war. They call it propaganda. They are also converting factories into war production. This is called War Industries Board. You probably already know this but the U.S. is raising money to go to war using Liberty Bonds. Men are being forced to register for military due to the Selective Service Act. I also heard the over 6 million African-Americans are being moved out of the rural southern states and in to the urban northern ones. Aren't they calling it the Great Migration? Also the Espionage and Sedition Acts are limiting free speech, right? I heard it's going to be a total war, meaning that weapon use is unrestricted, among other things. The civilian sector of a nation at war when it's armed forces are in combat abroad is called the Homefront. I hope you come and visit us back in Germany sometime. We all miss you and hope you are having a great time in America.
