I love how you mentioned that the parents want to preserve their family. Similar to what I mentioned the goal of arranged marriages in India is to keep their legacy moving forward. I think the parents play a vital role in arranged marriages it seems as though they put a lot of thought and time into choosing the right spouse. I wonder if this was done more often here in the United States among more cultures would it decrease the divorce rate? If I wasn't married I would probably be open to an arranged marriage it has worked for so many cultures why not give it a chance?
