Blended learning is a combination within the traditional learning and the e-learning. It means that the teachers can use the traditional tools such as textbook and virtual tools in order to improve the students' skills and in this way facilitate learning. For example: In the middle school, History course, the textbook is just a summary, I mean, there is not all the history in detail, for that reason the teacher can use a virtual tools like videos in YouTube or virtual books and this form implements the information, obviusly everyone use socials media like WhatsApp and the teacher can sent the link in this way.

What is blended learning? It is the way of learning that combines face-to-face teaching with technology. It is facilitated learning through the efficient combination of different delivery methods, teaching models and learning styles, and based on transparent communication of all the areas involved in the course.

My positive experience was that I was able to further develop my skills in terms of the technological environment, using different resources for oral presentations, or some practical task or work. It also allowed me to learn about other applications that are very useful.

There are too many models of blended learning, but each one of them have in common that they use physical resources at the same time as online materials.
According to my experience I couldn't see in Iquitos none cases related with blended learning apart from my university and some Privates institutes like Zegel Ipae. All this cases are recently that showed us the inefficiency of our institutional Network however these problem prepared us for be more focused on learning about new digital tools , that's why these types of subjects are very important because is not useful has a lot of knowledge and be a great professional if you are not able to transmit every what you know in a digital tools , for instance a slide , video or another way of presentation.

Blended learning is about a mixed education that means it combines face-to-face and remote classes for a better learning, in which both face-to-face and online resources are used. As we know we are going through a great pandemic and that is why this type of teaching had to be implemented in the Peruvian educational system, where the vast majority of people, both students and teachers have had to adapt to virtual tools. My experience with blended learing was great, because I have learned amazing online tools that I have never used before, these tools are useful for a better leaning at home, where you can create your own virtual class, slides, upload documents to the cloud so they don't get lost, etc.
So, an example now is that in the Iquitos city students are back to classes, but not 100%, so some days they have face to face classes and others stay at home learning online, the virtual classes are used to give theoretical classes, and in person to do the practical classes. At SF school, students use a platform where they can download the information sheets for their classes, read them before going to the classroom, this makes the class fast and very dynamic with the teachers.

Blended learning is an approach in education that we are using at the present time because we are living in hybrid learning. Moreover, Blended learning is related with two models of education. They are online classes and face to face classes. I mean is the combination between online classes and face to face classes, this approach help us to improve our skills as students such as writing and listening. However is really necessary a teacher to apply this model.
For example: A group of students will be in a learning lab such as a call center with bank of computers around the edges of the lab might smaller breakout rooms for classes. The objective of this model is that students can able to work on the computer.

One of the benefits of blended learning is that students are more engaged and involved in their learning.
I had an experience with blending learning during the pandemic. In Strategies's course, we needed to create our own strategies and ways to teach to a class. For that reason the teacher evaluated 5 students at university to explain their strategies to an imaginary class. The rest of the students saw the presentation by Google Meet, in this way they understand and try to not make mistakes. This was a great experience for all of us.

For me studying virtually has helped me a lot to know and use ICT tools, because due to the pandemic we could not go out as before, but also going to face-to-face on those occasions, has allowed me to share time and interact with my classmates and gradually return to normality, but with a new learning environment, which are the ICT tools.

The question is that she applied the virtual classes for the theoretical explanation and the evaluation was face to face, for this the whole class met in the faculty, in the street sargento lores and by means of a simple organization each one of us was evaluated. From my point of view this type of evaluation had good points and also some bad, on the one hand the teacher could genuinely evaluate our ability and our learning and that is a good thing and on the other hand the theoretical classes that were virtual sometimes were not completely clear because of the connection. I consider this a good and valuable experience and it is related to blended learning.

For me, online learning and blended learning is a combination in which learning continues in the same way, during the pandemic there were certain changes that we had to adapt to. example: on one occasion I remember that we had virtual classes in which the tools used for the classes were: WhatsApp, zoom, google meet, padlet, sometimes the teacher shared links with us, to review some videos, and we also had a semi-presential occasion it was only once, but it was a wonderful experience, even though we were face to face, with Master, she gave us a short test

Blended learning is a new concept and it involves the things of the new era. It has the traditional and online education in the same place. A good example to explain these new methoods is taking a time travel, two year ago in frebruary, 2020 we were at the begining of the COVID pandemic and everything changed faster. We had to adapt ourselves and personally every class I've ever had was virtual. Now in june, 2022 we have to mix them, because we have many tools than 20 years ago. So, why don't use them? Hybrid learning is a reality and as real students we use the tools that we have: internet, virtual dictionaries, web pages and free virtual multimedia. Check the link and watch how a blended class looks like.

Well, as In pandemic classes were not always face-to-face, teacher used virtual classes, either by apps like meet, classroom, zoom, where students will share the information they found about the topic. It was a complement with the information gave in presential class with the information that each student found in internet.

Blended Learning or Hybrid Learning

We all heard at some point about Hybrid or Blended Learning, but... What exactly is it?

Blended Learning can be defined as a method of teaching, in which the teacher combines online educational material with some traditional ways of teaching and in some way gives students opportunities to interact online and also face-to-face.

In this case the students are introduced to digital tools and learn how to use these for a better understanding of concepts and an improvement of their learning skills

It also helps teachers to understand and somehow introduce them at the same time into a digital environment, but that doesn't mean they should give up on traditional teaching methods, it means that they will mix both (digital and traditional) and make them complement each other and create a better learning environment for their class.

Let's read about someone who had an experience with Blended Learning...

Diego, is a 14 year old student at Rosa de America School. He's currently cursing the 3rd grade of High School. Because of the Coronavirus pandemic he couldn't go to school to have face-to-face classes but now he can! He has a schedule that was given on the online platform for students by their teachers. He has to go to school only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Sometimes this changes and he has to go only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The days he doesn't go are the days in which he connects to classes via online, using Zoom or Google Meet so he will still attend to class, maybe not physically but virtually. During the days in which he goes go school the teacher brings a laptop to also teach the students who don't have face-to-face classes that day. Diego also brings his laptop to search for information and use digital tools if it's needed. He also interacts with his classmates when they have to do group projects to share and exchange their ideas for a better understanding. After that, the teacher organizes activities like debates or gives assignments that involves sometimes doing a group presentation using Power Point or tools like Powtoon. The days in which he has virtual classes, it's basically the same process, in this case, when it comes to forming groups the teacher makes groups using options from Zoom for the students to interact online and share their ideas. Him and his classmates can attend to the same class but in different ways, some of them virtually but other are physically present, in the same room but constantly interacting with each other and with the teacher apart from finding new ways to learn something new, exchanging ideas and using digital tools because in times like these, technology is essential when it comes to teaching and learning.

Do you know what blended learning is? 👀🧐

You don't need so many words to really understand what blended learning means, that's why, on this padlet, I'm going to give you a simple but and accurate concept that will be enough for you, for sure!!🤓🙅

Basically "blended learning" is the combination of the traditional learning method with the virtual one. So they both mix and complement each other. This method also tries to balance both in order to present the students an environment that will give them control and management of their own learning process...🙌

Since 2020 until the middle of 2022 we alll were getting virtual classes right?, but it's important to clarify that just getting virtual classes is not the same as blended learning (remember the concept above) so I could say that I have no experience with this method, but it helped us, anyway, to embrace the use of technology in our learning process. So I believe, now with the return of face to face classes, we could try to apply the blended learning method by ourselves, so that we develop the necessary independence and autonomy for a more efficient learning process.

It is a type of learning strategy that teachers began to teach by this method. According to the video Blended learning is when the teacher uses methods related to technology and digital media with traditional instructor-led classroom activities.
During the online class, I've learn so many tecnology technique what I feel comfortable.
In pandemic, I had a terrible connection and I worked at the same time. Study and work, it's very difficult but nothing is imposible.
Well, I've study one year in this pandemic, because I was live a bad moment, about healthy, and common problems.
When the situation was getting better, I've start to work hard, and I finally decided to drop up. Without doubt, it was an experience that I have to learn.
Definitely I'm here again..

It's important and significant to know that blended learning is a combined learning of online learning with the tradicional form or as it is known face to face learning; it is somewhere in the middle. Both environments are partially or fully supervised, depending on the model.

Definitely, students and most of the teachers are more engaged using this type of learning experience because it is a new and a wonderful way to learn. Also, students will have a meaningfully learning process with all the things that blended learning can provide us.

Blended learning combines the best and the uniqueness of both learning environments.

Experience(Example)
I have a cousin from Israel who had a blended learning . In particular, I found it interesting and spectacular, what he told me was a new way of learning. It seemed unique to me because he told me that on specific days, like Monday, Wednesday and Friday, half the class went to his school and the other half did the class online. Definitely, I was kind of dumbfounded, I had never heard of anything like that or seen anything like that.He explained to me that this was the measure that his school opted for so that the students return to school after the pandemic. Parents didn't oppose this measure because students were about to spend a long time without studying and that wasn't a good thing at all.

In addition, to the fact that they were falling behind and didn't follow the adequate rhythm in which a student must complete their years of studies. I thought it was great that they have opted for something like this since it was an excellent opportunity to implement new things in the traditional way of learning.

However, everything isn't easy, there were obstacles such as the Internet connection or some students didn't have the necessary materials or tools so that they can have a successful class but when you want to achieve something, no matter the difficulties you can always get ahead.

It is kind of learning method which takes to reach bewteen online education and traditional education.
This means that it takes advantages of the integration of presence and virtuality to help empower the student in their learning. 🙌

My experience in virtual classes was terrible, because the Internet in Iquitos is slow.
I can' t participate in classes because everyone wanted to talk and they couldn't agree.
The teachers didn't know how to use the tools, this situation was stressful for me.

The good thing is that it increased my responsability when learning new language, because had more free time.
And it also helped me manage my time efficiently. 🙇‍♀️

And now after almost 1 year of pandemic we are going to return to traditional education.
The truth is that i am excited and at the same time afraid of how this learning will take place.
I'm eager to learn and take advantage of these classes, since one learns much more face to face. 🤗

In conclusion, what this modality does is that we students, are much more efficient in the situation in which your find yourself. 🥸

Blended learning evolved from educational technology and it connects learning in and beyond the classroom.
Blended learning is the thoughtful fusion of face to face and oline learning experience (Garrison &Vaughan, 2008 p.5.). The integration enhances both the face to face and e learning systems (Diaz & Diniz 2014).
Mi experience with Blended learning this of learning still does not add much assistance to our studie durin a global pandemic.
Help me to more constructive of my own learning , but I think it requires much more time for me one of the dificulties I had as a student is technology the internet, machines other.
For example find methods for learn English but the teacher always tell me to practice and practice, Well I Will do that because I Want to learn.

Blended Learning is mixing classroom classes with online learning, so that each student gets a good education according to their needs. Rather, face-to-face classes go almost hand in hand with online learning, promoting better development in education for all.👏👏

About the pandemic (Blended Learning)

My experience about Blended Learning in the time of the pandemic, was during the class in the classroom, I received an explanation about the grammar rules in the German course, then I was given a task by Google Form to read a reading and fill in the blanks with the grammatical rules that I had been taught. I learned the difference between learning in a classroom and online class. During the pandemic, the classes were completely virtual, thus developing the way to use Blended Learning, it was important to analyze the effect on the teaching of the students and therefore it could be a strategy that is easily accepted by the students. It is important to have a clear opinion of all technological advances in education. The appearance that the students have about the teachings of the professors, turns out to be better when the Blended Learning methodology is used, so that the online instruments are being better valued by the students who use it. The world is facing a second or third wave of confinement. The virus is spreading at the speed of light, without a doubt, it has been a year of many uncertainties, emotional, work and especially health problems. However, educational institutions must make teachers literate and aware so that they can use different strategies that allow students to achieve meaningful learning, one that they can remember throughout their lives.🙌🙌
