The form of the painting - line, shape, value, color, texture, and space are all components of a painting that can be analyzed objectively. I also learned that the different periods, the Renaissance and Baroque, were a reflection of the context in society. In the Renaissance period, Man and his abilities were celebrated, thus many notable works emerged during this period. In the Baroque period, the counter-Reformation was rampant, that is why the Catholic church commissioned many artists to create works for the church.
