Race/Ethnicity: I am a White European so I am not effected by racial discrimination or anything.  Though I do still feel for those who do have to deal with this concept.
Social Class: Growing up my family has been in the middle class.  This I believe has partially influenced me to be with the Democratic party.  We believe in the rights and power of people, and the fact that we need to help those in need as a society.

This topic really shows my democratic ideology and truly my feelings towards the idea of all people having that chance.
Economy: The economy is a very important topic because it has a ton of impact on the middle class citizens and those who are trying to make a quality living for themselves and their families. The economy is talked and fought about very much and that is for good reason. Growing up in a middle class family really influenced me to feel for those who are in the same situation... or worse. 
Gun Laws: Gun laws are another topic that are very powerful to me. I care alot  about these laws because of the many problems that guns are causing within our beautiful country. I 100% side with the Democratic Party in the idea of making gun laws and regulations much stricter. Personally I feel the selling and trade of guns shouldn't be allowed but it is to the point where it may be even safer to carry a gun which is very saddening. Though, I definitely do feel that there are multiple factors that have influenced me into being the person I am today. 
1. Family: Growing up my whole family has been democratic. With the exception of my uncle everyone in my family grew up in the city with blue collar working parents and just overall liberal values. Now, having this upbringing, I do feel that I have and will continue to agree mostly with my family. 
2. School/Peers: Honestly, I really don't feel that school has influenced me. My friends and teachers don't have any influence on my political beliefs. Really the only influence which has made my beliefs stronger is taking the government course that I'm in right now.
3. Religion: Well, I've grown up in a Catholic family and I will continue to follow this as my religion. Having said this though, I do not believe this has influenced my political views and values when it comes to society.
4. Media: The world today completely revolves around media and what is going on. I read into and watch the news all the time because I like to keep in touch with what's going on in our country and around the world.
