This articles title is, “Momo is Not trying to kill children. Like eating Tide Pods and snorting condoms, the Momo challenge is a viral hoax.” This author talks about how one person added something on twitter telling them to inform everyone you can on this Momo Challenge, and its spread like wildfire across the Internet. The article says, “The Momo challenge wasn’t real then, and it isn’t real now. YouTube confirmed that, contrary to press reports, it hasn’t seen any evidence of videos showing or promoting the “Momo challenge” on its platform. If the videos did exist, a spokesperson for YouTube said, they would be removed instantly for violating the platform’s policies. Additionally, there have been zero corroborated reports of any child ever taking his or her own life after participating in this phony challenge.”. Although, these children made not have committed suicide, they are still attempting to hurt themselves and others. Even in the title it mentions that it’s a hoax just like eating tide pods and snorting condoms, but I am confused because I have SEEN videos on YouTube of kids/teens doing these challenges? So how can they still say those challenges, along with the Momo challenge, is a “hoax”?

CONCLUSION: is this a legitimate piece of news or not?

Overall, with all the opinions, facts, and stories that are out there; I do believe that the Momo challenge is not a hoax. Therefore, I think that my original news article is a legitimate piece of news. I think think because the stories that I read, kids are scared and why would kids make that up and attempt to hurt themselves and others, if they are scared of Momo? I do believe this is a real issue going around on YouTube. YouTube did make a statement regarding there is no proof, well in my original article, the special guest-says his opinion- but says how many YouTube editors were sitting around a table trying to think of that statement that was made to the public. When researching, I also saw a clip of the Momo face saying, “I am going to kill you”, so if this is just a hoax, then how does someone have proof of the Momo saying stuff in a recording? This is a controversial piece of information that is and has not yet calmed down, on the internet. In the end, I wish the hacker who is putting these in kid videos, wakes up and realizes the damage they are doing and put an end to this challenge.
