Alex gets the information of 30 days due court and is released of the hospital. His mom is not speaking much to him, so he spents the morning in the basement and plays his guitar and tells the reader, that he got his guitar from his dad because of the divorce. He proceeds with the story of his musical career where he got lessons and now is in the schools Jazz-band. At lunchtime he gets to his mom who asks why he committed the crime. Alex answers that he had nothing else to do because of her who was absent at the time and took his phone away. His mom means that anything would have been better as what he did and ad asks what happened if he had killed someone. He answers that he had not killed anyone as well as he thinks the neighbourhood is now more tasteful. Then he tells his potential plan was to drive to his fathers to yell at him because of the divorce. They agree on that things happened and his mom imposes him with home arrest until court and that he would not have time without her except at school. He counters that she would not have the time for that but she says she will get. Alex sits down which hurt his wound and his mom asks if it hurt which Alex approves but his mom just likes it of anger. 
On Monday morning Alex is in school and gets bullied by a classmate for looking like harry potter and his incident. The mobber gets to Alex place but before he reacts to the insult Alexs best friend Laurie appears and pushes herself to Alex. She sends away the Mobber Bryan. Then she claims that Alex has an absence of intelligence and Alex tries to calm her and wants to explain the incident. Laurie tells him that she had called many times over the weekend and she does not like that Alex did not response. Alex then explains the reader that Laurie is small and has a kind of Fairy look, but with black clothes and three rings in her eyebrow, also she does much Karate. 
Alex defences himself against Laurie’s accusations but Laurie proceeds with asking him why Alex has not said anything about his plans of the driving. Alex states that she was at work but she reminds him of her cell phone. Alex then admits that he not wanted to call her, because he did not want to get a lesson and did not want to sit all there alone and thinking about his moms first date after the divorce. Laurie is perplexed and the bell rings.

The Chapter ’’ Sol gets interested“ out of the Novel ’’ Notes from the Midnight Driver“ written By Jordan Sonnenblick and published in 2004 is about a sixteen year old teenage Boy named Alex Gregory and his surprise visit at the nursing home.

In the beginning of the chapter Alex is scheduled to meet with Sol, but he's late after jazz band practice, where he had been struggling with the music. Alex tells that the conductor Mrs. Watras must have decided to ignore his faults and that he was humiliated from the school. At the hospital, The friendly Nurse Case asks for Alex best friend Laurie who was with him at the nursing home. She was exposing Alex to not making Mister Solomons Bed right. Moreover she explains that Solomon Lewis, Alex Man to care for is at hydrotherapy and Alex can wait for a little while, so he goes into Sol's room and continues rehearsaling his music, finally "starting to get the parts right. After Mister Lewis is back, he tells Alex to play more songs to him. Alex starts to play a song from Miles David out of 1960. It is easier than the songs Alex have to play a school. Then Alex recognize that Mister Lewis starts to enjoy and feel his playing because he close his eyes and breath the quietest he have ever. After the song was played done, Alex is in disbelief that he found one thing that Solomon likes. Because of this new positive thing about his punishment with Mister Lewis he starts to write his Judge a new E-mail. Alex writes that he is very proud and surprised about these news and the things Sol said would be the nicest ones ever in the whole time. Even Alex was surprised that Sol, as so often, does not want to make mock of him but rather only shows his true inner self. He really felt like Sol and him had a dial.

Chapter 2 of the novel “Notes from the Midnight driver“ begins with the wake up from Alex in the hospital. It is the first wake up for Alex, with a hangover. Alex mum Janet stand next tot he hospital  bed and abused him as an idiot and beats him.

Than come Alex father Simon into the room.The Adults beginn a conflict.

As next the nurse Miss Anderson come into the room and introduces herself. She clarifes that Alex is not critically injured.    Doctor Friedmann join the room and gives Alex more Deatails ,about his injured.

Than Alex father take a presentation about the responsibility, that Alex have. The teenager slumber. His mom ,who had leave the room for fresh air ,comes back to Alex bed. Alex pretends tob e asleep and his eyes beginn to swell.

A week later, again at a “semi-dating-date” I ask her “what we are now exactly?” and Laurie, with the lightness of a thinker bell and without a small grin says “friends, why?” My heart breaks for a second. Maybe it became that visible, that Laurie bursts out laughing and says “you moron, I love you, but that should be clear”. My heart started beating again and faster than ever. We again are just looking at each other and there my memory ends. I have no clue what happened there but at least, it surely was nothing bad. Since then, we live along and meet at least all three days. 

The work at the home got a bit more colourful. I now look after a lot more people which isn´t that bad. Mrs. Goldfarb is still a bit forgetting but all in all its good. I miss Sol here but at least I got over the roughest pain. I play for him, so I`m in his mind.  

To sum up my situation: lesson learned.
