a. Ben Franklin made meetings with representatives from New England, New York, Maryland, and Pennsylvania to negotiate the Albany Congress. The Albany Congress was a plan to unite all the colonies for defense against the Indians, but the plan was rejected and the Iroquois broke off relations with British.
b. The Albany Plan can be considered a 2 on the Unrest-O-Meter. It caused the Iroquois and British relationships to fall apart.
c.

The boycotts started when the Stamp Act was implemented, and the colonists refused to abide by this law, so they boycotted British goods and threw riots in hopes of getting the law abolished. The proclamation forbid settlers to go beyond a line drawn along the Appalachian Mountains.
b. On the Unrest-O-Meter, the Proclamation of 1763 was a 1 because it limited trading conflicts with Indians and relations between western tribes and British improved.
c.

a. After the Proclamation of 1763, the white settlers continued to cross the boundary and claim lands further and further into Ohio Valley. This caused them to push the line of settlement further west of the Appalachian Mountains.
b.

a. This motto that was frequently used by the colonists showed the basic principle of the Constitution: the right of people to be taxed only with their consent.
b. On the Unrest-O-Meter scale, this would be a 5 because colonists felt underrepresented in the Colonial Assembly which resulted in angry colonists rioting different taxes and acts.

c.

a. For months, farmers and townspeople were gathering arms and ammunition and training minutemen for a defensive war. General Gage sent out 1,000 soldiers to Lexington and Concord, and many men were killed on both sides.
b. On the Unrest-O-Meter scale, this event would be a 9 because the controversial idea on which side began the firing started the American Revolution. The event marked a shift in the colonies from resistance to rebellion.

c.
