Research proposal

Through this research proposal, I have learned how important inclusive infrastructure is for children with special needs in schools. Even though there are laws like the RTE Act and RPWD Act to support inclusive education, I realized that many schools still struggle to provide basic facilities like ramps, accessible toilets, and special learning tools. Working on this proposal helped me understand the real gap between policies and their implementation, especially in Delhi. It also taught me how to frame research properly — by setting clear objectives, forming a hypothesis, using surveys, and analyzing results. Overall, this project made me more aware of the need for better planning and action to truly make education inclusive for every child.

Watching India’s Daughter taught me how important it is to question and challenge the beliefs and traditions we often accept without thinking. It showed me that gender inequality is not just about big crimes, but about the small attitudes and mindsets that people carry every day. I learned that silence and acceptance make problems like violence and discrimination even worse. The film made me realize the importance of speaking up, educating others, and standing for justice — even when it feels difficult. It showed me the strength of survivors and their families, and it taught me that real change starts when ordinary people refuse to accept injustice. It also made me more aware that education is a powerful tool — if we teach respect, equality, and empathy from a young age, we can slowly build a society where tragedies like Jyoti Singh’s never happen again.

From this, I can learn that trusting others, especially students or children, means giving them chances even when it's hard. It reminds me that patience, respect, and gentle encouragement can help someone grow. Trust isn’t built in a day—it takes small, consistent efforts. If I want strong, meaningful relationships where people feel safe to be themselves and learn from mistakes, I need to lead with understanding and belief in their potential.

This teaches me that as a teacher, it's important to keep growing — not just by giving tests, but by really understanding how students learn, spotting their struggles early, and working with others to help them improve. It reminds me that good teaching is not just about teaching lessons, but about supporting each student’s journey in a thoughtful and caring way.

Reading without meaning

From this, I’ve learned that reading is much more than just recognizing words on a page. It’s about truly understanding the meaning behind those words and engaging with the text. As a teacher, it’s my job to help students become independent readers who can think critically and enjoy reading. I’ve realized the importance of teaching not just pronunciation, but also language awareness, and providing strategies to understand different kinds of texts. Ultimately, it’s about making reading an active, enjoyable process that sparks curiosity and helps students develop a positive attitude toward learning.

Challenges faced by teachers

Through exploring the challenges faced by teachers due to teaching incompetence, I've learned how crucial it is for educators to have strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the subject, and the ability to connect with students in meaningful ways. It’s clear that without fluency in language, teachers may struggle to explain complex political concepts, engage in debates, or answer student questions effectively. Real-life examples and structured lesson planning are essential to make learning relatable and engaging. This has also made me realize the importance of fostering critical thinking in students, instead of just focusing on memorization. All these insights highlight the need for continuous improvement in both subject knowledge and teaching skills.
