First of all, I am so immensely grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside you in the MSICU!!! I cannot put into words how much you have taught me and how much you've inspired me over the last year and a half. I feel so lucky to have watched firsthand the impact you make each and every day here at BCH. The MSICU can be a tough part of the hospital to work in, but you handle everything with so much grace and patience that you make it look easy. I will never forget shadowing you during my first few weeks and being in awe of you as a CLS. You meet with patients and families during some of their most difficult moments, but bring such a warmth to those environments that it makes everyone feel at ease. I, like so many others in this department, will always look up to you for this reason. I'm so thankful for all the time we spent laughing, debriefing, collaborating, making jokes (we laugh so we don't cry!!!), and having you as a soundboard as you're always willing to listen ("tell me!"). I know I speak for everyone when I say how much you'll be missed, in the department, in the cohort, and in the MSICU. Gianni and Luciana are so lucky to have you as their mom and I'm so happy that you're getting the time and space to be with them. Thank you for everything you have given this department/hospital, thank you for having confidence in me as a CLS when I didn't believe in myself, and thank you for always being your most genuine and bright self. I will always feel so lucky to know you!!!!

If you had told me while shadowing you as a first semester child life intern that one day I would eventually work alongside you, I would've thought you were lying. You have taught me how to meet people where they are, practice with unconditional positive regard, the power of advocacy, and what is looks like to let empathy and compassion lead. Thank you for fueling my passion for celebrating and sitting with the ways in which love, joy, hardship, and grief coexist with each other. Never doubt how wildly capable you are of all things. I still remember my first time meeting you as a volunteer when you were covering for 7W. I thought "Wow she has the same name as me and is SO cool."

Fast forward many years to us co-supervising a student together! Can't believe that. I couldn't imagine a better co-supervisor...we had so many laughs and I learned SO much from your experience. I will never forget that clip art pic when I accidentally removed a parent...

You have made an enormous impact on all of us as a department, on your unit, and at BCH as a whole. It has been such an honor to work with you.
