         <description><![CDATA[<p>On <strong>December 7, 1941</strong>, <em><mark>Pearl Harbor</mark></em>, <em>Hawaii</em> was surprisingly attacked by the <em>Japanese</em>, which ended the debate over <em>American's</em> decision in both the <em>Pacific</em> and <em>European </em>theaters of World War II. Just over 2,400 Americans died in the attack, and the <em>Japnese</em> knocking outover 200 planes and sinking and damaging eight battleships.</p>]]></description>

         <title>What happened in D-Day ?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>D-Day (<strong>June 6, 1944</strong>) is a day in World War II on which Allied forces invaded <em>northern France</em> by beach landings in <em>Normandy</em>. D-Day also means the first day of any large military operation. Troops from the <em>UK, United States, Canada</em>, and <em>Frances</em> brought together the land, air, and sea forces of the allied armies in what became known as the largest invasion in the military history. The operation, which is given the codename <em>OVERLORD</em>, delivered five naval assault divisions to the beaches of <em>Normandy, France</em>.</p>]]></description>

         <title>What was the Holocaust ?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Holocaust (<strong>1933-1945</strong>), the mass killing of six million <em>Jewish</em> people  and children and millions of others by <em>Nazi Germany</em> and its collaborators during World War II. The <em>Germans</em> called this “<strong>The Final Solution</strong>". This cause of the Holocaust is the <em>Nazis</em> wanted to exterminate the <em>Jews</em> and that they were able to do so. But their lust for murder didn't come out of nowhere. The <em>Nazi</em> ideology must be considered in the broader context of the age-old hostility towards <em>Jews</em> which is what is called <mark>anti-semitism</mark>. The <mark>war refugee</mark>, which is a government agency tasked with rescuing victims of the ongoing Holocaust. It also carries out programs for the rescue and relief of victims of Nazi persecution. The <mark>nuremberg trial</mark>, a trial for crimes against peace, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and conspiracy to commit any of the foregoing crimes.</p>]]></description>

         <title>What was war like in the Pacific ?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The war in the <em>Pacific</em>, was the Naval and air strikes reduced most of the <em>Japanese</em> bases throughout the area, and after several intense, bloody campaigns, most of the central <em>Pacific</em> was secure. <mark>Douglas MacArthur</mark>, who served as a top commander in WW2 and Korean War. Throughout <strong>1942</strong>, he mainly relied on Australian troops to shoulder the bulk of the fighting in <em>Papua</em> and <em>New Guinea</em>. When the forces quickly began building air bases. Although the war began on <strong>December 7, 1941</strong>, it took considerable time for the <em>United </em>States to send troops to the <em>Pacific</em>. During the <em>Pacific</em> war, there were <em>Japanese </em>suicide pilots which are called "<mark>Kamikaze</mark>" who deliberately crashed their planes into enemy targets, usually ships. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>On <strong>May 8, 1945</strong>, After the <mark>atomic bomb</mark> was dropped on <em>Hiroshima</em> and <em>Nagasaki,</em> <em>Japan</em> surrendered on <strong>September 2, 1945</strong>. Then, the Second World War came to an end. The war cost the lives of more than 330,000 American soldiers. Many more were permanently injured or been harmed. The <mark>Yalta Conferece</mark>, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Churchill discussed with Stalin the conditions under which if <em>Soviet Union</em> would enter the war against <em>Japan</em> or not. <mark>VE Day</mark>, which is known as Victory in <em>Europe</em> Day. <em>Germany</em> was surrendered its military forces to the Allies, including the <em>United States</em>.</p>]]></description>

         <title>What was going on in the home front ?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The country needed to help in order to support the war effort. Food and clothing were rationed. People planted <mark>Victory Gardens</mark> to grow their own produce and rations. Towns collected household goods made of rubber and aluminum to provide materials for the defense industry. They also made <mark>Hollywood Propaganda</mark>, for the public morale up during the war by providing pro-<em>U.S.</em> and pro-service themed films. The <mark>Japanese Internment camps</mark> were the guard towers and barbed-wire fences surrounding the camps denied them the freedom to move. These conditions like this, the <em>Japanese Americans</em> did what they could to make the camps feel as much like home as possible.</p>]]></description>
