Being a woman, I always felt like I had to match all the stereotypes, but I never did. While most of the other girls in elementary school wore dresses and skirts, I wore basketball shorts. While all the other girls were putting on makeup and talking about boys, I was out there wrestling and playing football with those boys. Even now, I am more masculine then most other women. I spent most of my growing up years in the neighborhood Forest Heights. Forest Heights had an impact on me because it felt very middle class and had mostly decent houses. Most people in Forest Heights had a little more money than my family did, but we still had a good amount and it wasn't much of a problem for us. Living like this allowed me to not have to worry about money but also allowed me to know the worth of a dollar.
