Therefore, the demand will be high. The healthcare needed is more and the cost will be increased. In my own opinion, if the elderly aged 65 and above is going to be tripled, why not build more healthcare clinic? While much has been achieved over the last five years since the publication of the 1999 IMC report, there is many more to be done before the baby boom generation reaches 65. The Government must also take an integrated approach and encourage greater co-ordination and collaboration between agencies. It is also easier if the community respond with the same level of commitment like taking ownership of the issue of ageing. Having A positive and mature attitude towards seniors and ageing, will be necessary for ageing policies to be successful :)
