Procedures & Routines

Day 1: Unit 1

• Finish Exercise 2

Day 2:

• Introduce Project 1: Practice - Create an animal using circles and Shapebuilder.

• Step 1: Draw - Using an image of an animal found online students will create a stylized sketch using only circles.

Day 3:

• Start Step 2: Digitize - Bringing the drawing into Illustrator, students will recreate their drawing with Circles and Shapebuilder. The finished project will include different types of gradients in the animal and the background.

LG: We are using the tools in Adobe Illustrator to create a stylized animal.

• Start Step 2: Digitize - Bringing the drawing into Illustrator, students will recreate their drawing with Circles and Shapebuilder. The finished project will include different types of gradients in the animal and the background.

• Start Exercise 2: Sign in to Fontstruct, watch demo video and follow instructions for creating uppercase San Serif letters A, B & C.

Day 3:

• Begin Project 2 - summative font - Create an uppercase serif alphabet. A-Z - Work on A-C
