teaching strategies and effectiveness

during my observaion I noticed most of the teachers were very attentive and observant and knew exactly what every student was doing. when ever they had a student who was not behaing correctly they would address it. some of them used the calm approach to teaching which didnt work so well when she was trying to teach her students. I noticed that the teachers would send their misbehaving students to a different room to calm down for 5 minutes then they would come back ask them if they are ready to go back to class. the teachers would make sure that everyone was paying attention and ready to learn before moving on with teaching. I noticed in the kindergarten classroom the teacher did not have too much controll over her classroom and was very passive as a teacher. as the students were misbehaving she tried to adress it but did not do it successfully. but I had an amaxing time seeing what not to do when I become a teacher.

during my experience I had fun watching the kids learn and watching the teachers teach. I got to help out in each classroom and even do some of the assignments along with them. if I do teach in a special needs classroom, i will make sure everyone feels included in the lesson, make sure the kids are having fun while learning, reward them for good behavior, and also make sure I stand my ground when addressing misbehavior. I am so excited to see what kind of teaching style I may have as a teacher in the future. I hope that I can controll my class and still have fun teaching. I had all good experiences and even got to see a sensory room which i had never seen before. I am glad I got the opprutunity to observe in a special needs classroom.
