Planting Trees

One day, I joined my friends to help a community by planting trees on their farm. We dug holes, planted seedlings, and watered them together. It was tiring but fun. In the end, we felt proud because we knew our small effort would help the people and the environment.

Charity and Donation

This was a community service where my group and I organized a charity and donation drive for our entire barangay. We packed food and clothes and distributed them to over 100 people in need. This is just one of our many volunteer activities. We also feed homeless people as well as stray cats and dogs. This journey has been such an unforgettable experience. We’ve met people with different challenges, stories, and struggles in life, and somehow, being able to share what we can has truly warmed our hearts.

Clean up drive

One day, I joined my friends for a clean-up drive our barangay’s . Armed with gloves, trash bags, and big smiles, we spent 3 hours picking up plastic bottles, food wrappers, and other waste. At first, it felt overwhelming—there was so much trash! But as we worked together, laughing and encouraging each other, the pile of garbage grew smaller, and the area started to look brighter.

Gardening

I'm Chlouie Marie T. Matugas, and this is a snapshot of our little gardening adventure! We planted green onions, and it was such a fun experience. Getting our hands dirty and watching something grow is so rewarding. As G10 students, we're learning that teamwork and patience can make anything blossom.

Efren Peñaflorida’s Kariton Klasrum (pushcart classroom) is an educational program that brings learning to out-of-school children by using pushcarts filled with books, school supplies, and teaching materials. Instead of waiting for children to go to school, the program reaches them in streets and slum areas, offering alternative education and values formation. His initiative gained worldwide recognition and won him the CNN Hero of the Year Award in 2009.

Community Cooperation

In Zapote, Las Piñas City, days of heavy rain caused severe flooding, leaving roads impassable and residents stranded. Canals overflowed with trash, worsening the situation.

With the quick response of the LGU, workers cleaned and unclogged waterways, set up barriers, and carried out relief operations with the DSWD, providing food and supplies to affected families.

Thanks to their efforts and the community’s cooperation, flooded roads became passable again, proving that unity and swift action can overcome challenges.

In June 2019, a devastating fire struck Brgy. Talon Kuatro in Las Piñas City, leaving many families without homes and basic necessities. Wanting to extend a helping hand, I volunteered in the community. I gathered clothes and kitchen utensils to donate, hoping they could ease the struggles of those affected. Alongside fellow volunteers and donors, I helped distribute the donations to the victims. It was a simple act, but seeing the gratitude in their eyes made me realize the power of compassion and unity in times of hardship. That experience taught me that even small efforts can bring comfort and hope to others.
