The reason why we wanted to do this is because our survey said that people in mountains are good citizens. 
Out of all of the G.R.E.A.T meanings, the majority of the survey said that mountains students are good citizens which to me means different things. Fair, kind, responsible, supportive and trustworthy.It's not the mountain we concur but ourselves is our motto which means that life is a journey and you might have obstacles but overcoming our self is the hardest that's why sometimes you have to support each other to achieve a common goal. The white represents a successful beginning. The red is a colour that grabs people's attention and it also means love, joy, strength, leadership, courage and black represents mystery, power and protection. We have used these colours to make the logo bright and easy to spot. This colour goes with the whanau and it will also encourages people to come and look at the mountains logo. We have red text and plain white background with a black silhouette holding a flag and in inside it has "M" which represents mountain. This colour works together to have a visual impact on the viewers and gives them an idea about mountains whanau.

When looking at successful New Zealand businesses branding we have found that they use sustainable as their value. Also, our surveys say that mountains students are respectful and responsible which makes high-quality business partners.Fonterra's branding is reliable, high quality, homemade goodness. They mostly say that they are reliable and high quality because when working or partnering with them they won't disappoint and will work to their standards. By saying we are sustainable not only does that make us seem like good business partners, but if it worked for other companies then why wouldn't it work for our whanau. Sustainable is the right choice for our value for mountains whanau because it is a proven successful value from other companies.

 We have chosen good citizen because Mountains is a respectful Whanau that respects the other whanaus as well.        
 This value would be defined as a good citizen because of our surveys that we did and 90% of our response said we are  good citizens. 
' Sometimes you have to work together to achieve a common goal ' I have used this quote because Mountains is really good at teamwork they work  together to achieve goals. For e.g. the interwhanau trivia quiz . We were in groups and  we all worked together as a whanau and we won the quiz. 
 That's why we used good citizen because our survey and other things we do as whanau we always achieve our goals and us always a are good citizens.
