I think the author decided to publish this paper to reach private and public of the agricultural sector to improve the production and quality of their products.

Yes, the authors have provided the relevant background info to provide useful information for understanding. The have provided a section discussing how they approached creating this paper.

This study included a quantitative approach, a questionnaire was curated to ask question farmers and collect data. The data was collected through 270 farms in Laois.

6. What questions form in your mind as you read the paper? How can you go about answering these questions?

At a first glance the graphs were difficult to comprehend and understand. I would possibly suggest more simple graphs for more visual people. After further inspection the graph began to be comprehendible for me.

Yes, I can understand the information presented to me after further/ deeper reading to gather the information. The data was presented by the authors in a clear and concise manner, helpful for visual learners.

8. Are all interpretations/conclusions backed up by evidence? Has the author(s) jumped to conclusions about anything, or made assumptions that are not backed up by evidence?

Yes, I think all the conclusions have evidence to back them to be considered fact!

In this paper there is nothing I don’t understand after further reading. I think the author’s dud a respectable job curating the information.

a. in paragraph one there is a brief  summary regarding the information that will be discussed. Paragraph two lack this, therefor confusing the reader without any background information.

b. Paragraph two has little punctuation, the piece of writing as run-on lines, and incorrect grammar.

c. there is many different topics discussed, with little to no structure. The author jumps from farming to sports to living in the countryside.

People in the countryside are farming less than they used to, and there are fewer farmers in rural Ireland than in recent years. In my opinion, it's sadly concerning that fewer people are engaged in farming. This trend is influenced by global factors; farming can be incredibly tough, and many young people find it hard to pursue.

Despite the decline in traditional farming roles, many people still want to live in the countryside, and they are absolutely entitled to do so. The future of rural Ireland relies on this diversity. If people aren’t allowed to live in these areas, we risk an aging population without enough workers to support local jobs, help the elderly, or participate in community activities like football.

This would have serious consequences. If rural communities weaken, we could see urban teams dominating sports like football and hurling. For instance, if places like Kerry and Leitrim can’t sustain their populations, their chances in competition would diminish. It’s already evident that cities like Dublin have a strong hold on football, which raises concerns about the future balance in sports.
