The dog had been a popular race of animals that humans raise as pets. In some cultures and societies, they believe that raising dogs can guard their owners’s property and some think of it as men’s best friend. Some even think of it as part of their family. So I think raising a dog is also a small part of culture.

The IFL's former library building, a stunning architectural masterpiece designed by Mr. Vann Monyvann. The design was based on the traditional Khmer straw hat. Although the hidden meaning is unclear, the pillars surrounding the building were uniquely designed to catch the wind to ventilate the rooms inside. This building is one of many examples of Mr. Vann Monyvann's 1960s-1970s masterpieces, a reflection of the combination of traditional culture and modern architecture, a symbol of the Songkum Reas Niyom era architecture highlighting the beauty of the Cambodia's art culture at its peak.

Written by Lyvith K.
