Thomas Hobbes believed that in order to not have a break out like a civil war, everybody should give there trust in a person who decides every social/political issue for them. With this belief, conflict would not happen as much and more peace would result in this. If everybody had trust in the sovereign and let him/her handle both political and social issues, it would result in less chaos and arguments with other people regarding different views on the issue. Hobbes main goal to introduce a sovereign was to create peace throughout the people. https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/hobbes-moral/

Thomas Hobbes also believed that we should not have a government. Hobbes believed it was best for people to decide how they wanted to act and to make decisions based on what they believe in. Hobbes believed in the philosophy, "condition of mere nature", meaning he didn't want power to be put on people and didn't want people to follow strict guidelines.https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/hobbes-moral/

Thomas Hobbes believes the idea of letting everybody make there own decisions will not result not in a war as long as the people understand that's not what they want. Hobbes "law of nature" describes that peace among the people will solve everything. Hobbes believes that if every person wants to be treated with peace, no war will ever break out among the people.https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/hobbes-moral/
