Our Excellent (Green) Attendance Band increased from 43.84% to 44.52%

Our Basic (Yellow) Attendance Band also increased from 13.01% to 15.75%

and our Chronic (Red) Attendance Band decreased from 43.16% to 39.73%.

Thank you for making attendance apart of your everyday conversations with our students, and reminding them the importance of it - it really is a life skill!

As expected, our attendance bands are being affected by the "winter slump." Attached is our most updated Attendance Data:

44.52% (65) students in the Green; 19.86% (29) students in the Yellow and 35.62% (52) of students in the Red.

Overall, we continue to make small improvements: Just last month on 11/4/24, our red attendance band was at 43.15%, a 7.53% decrease, which is GREAT news! Keep up the great work and let's finish the semester strong!

Tips:

• Show students their options by showing our recruitment video, the slideshow in the front between rooms 9 and 10, take them around to tour strands, etc.

• Involve parents (I'll send home a parent input form too)

• Have classroom discussions about choices, strands, skills, etc.

• Encourage students (and parents) to try something new

• When you make your recommendations, please consider student needs, interests, goals, and what strand would help them grow
